How to enrich your product feed data in Channable and use it in Qonfi

When you've set up your flow and attempt to bulk match products from your feed to the answers of your flow, you might find that the process is hindered by a missing attribute in your feed, preventing the creation of a matching rule. You can easily enrich your product feed in Channable by adding attributes to your feed. 

By following this how-to, you’ll be able to use your enriched data feed to match your products in Qonfi to the appropriate (new) attributes in bulk. Let's look at an example. 

Example

Let's say we have added the following question to our flow  "For which place(s) do you want to use a duvet for?" with the following answers: 

• At home
• On vacation
• Hospital 
• Hotel

We now want to match our products from our feed to these specific answers, however the appropriate attribute to match on is missing in our feed. Therefore, we first have to add this attribute to our feed. 

1. Add the attribute to your feed in Channable

1. Log into Channable. 
2. Click on 'Setup' in the left navigation.
3. Click on 'Project fields'. 
4. Click on 'add project field'.
5. Give your new attribuut a name (in our example 'usage_type'.
6. Click 'Save & Import'. 

2. Match your products to the new attribute

We now have created a new attribute (field) in Channable which we can use in our Qonfi feed (and Google Shopping feed and other places). We only have to match our products to this new attribute with the right values. In our case, the attribute values need to be: 

• At home
• On vacation 
• Hospital
• Hotel

Let's add the right attribute values to our products. 

1. In Channable click on 'feeds' in the left navigation. 
2. Click the 'rules' tab on the feed that you are using for Qonfi. 
3. Click on the 'plus sign' to create a new rule (e.g. in our case 'usage type = At home').
4. Create an if else rule to select the right products for this attribute value (e.g. filter for instance on the product ID or other existing attributes to select the right products). 
5. Add the right attribute value for the selected products to the attribute  (e.g. in our case 'then take > 'usage_type' and set to value 'at_home''). 

Repeat step 4 & 5 for every attribute value. 

3. Add the new attribute to the Qonfi feed

You have now added a new attribute in Channable and you have  matched your products to the new attributes with the right values. The final step is to add the new attribute to your Qonfi feed. 

1. Click in Channable on 'finalize' 
2. Click on 'add new field' and add the new attribute.
3. Click save & run for the feed you are currently exporting to Qonfi.

You can now use the new attribute in Qonfi to further bulk match your products to your flow.
