How to use custom labels to highlight features at the product results with Channable
Custom labels for product results
You can highlight custom specifications of products with a label at the product results using your feed. It's currently not possible to use custom rules in Qonfi to create custom labels (great feedback for a future feature). I noticed that your feed is imported from Channable. You can easily achieve what you want by adding an additional 'label' field in Channable and use it in your Qonfi feed. Follow these 4 steps:
1. Add label field in Channable
Log into Channable > setup > 'setup project fields tab' > add project field > give label field a name > save & import.
2. Use the new label field to create custom rules
Once you have created your additional field in Channable, you can use the field to create custom rules.
In Channable click on 'feeds' in the left navigation > click on the feed which is used for Qonfi > click on the 'rules' tab > click on the 'plus sign' to create a rule like: "if title contains 'rails' > set new label field to 'new'" > save rule.
3. add the new field to the Qonfi feed
In order to export the custom 'label' field into Qonfi, click in Channable on 'finalize' > add new field > add label > save & run for the feed you are currently exporting to Qonfi.
4. Map label field to highlight product specs at Qonfi result page
In Qonfi, import the feed again manually (feed > source) so that the new 'label' field is imported. Now you can 'map' the new field attribute to the 'label' property in Qonfi (left navigation 'feed' > 'mapping' > label). Labels are only shown by products which contain a value for the mapped label property.
Boosting functionality & best match result strategy
The boosting functionality gives indeed priority to the products which are matched to your boosting rules. It gives the specific products a 'score boost'. Boosting rules are only applied on 'best match' result strategies. You are currently using the 'exact match' result strategy, meaning only products which exactly match the specified rules are shown at the product results. 'Best match' allows you to always show the most relevant products. Even when you don't have the product a customer is exactly looking for.
Is the best match result strategy an interesting strategy for this use case?
If 'exact match' better fits your use case, you can still manipulate the order of your product results by adding a 'position' property to your feed. You can then follow the same steps as by adding the 'label' property in Channable.
